Our Candles
Where it all began
Since becoming a couple, we always gifted each other candles. Our first Christmas together we both bought each other the same candle gift set without the other knowing! Having constantly burned candles together, we dove deeper into the scents, packaging, and making procedure and was shocked to find how many candle companies used harmful chemicals and little to no eco packaging. We knew we could create a full eco-conscious brand from head to toe with beautiful scents.

Akasha blends all of our favourite aspirations into one amazing business: unique scents, sustainability, a hand-made business, and being able to design and craft our products purely for you. .
January 2022
Lets rewind back to the New Year of 2022 when we started our vision.
We tested over 40 different fragrance oils, 3 brands of wax, 5 different candle vessels and wicks from quite literally all corners of the globe (USA, UK, Australia & Turkey). We made in total over 120 different candles over the span of 9 months before we finally were happy with our final products. (You could say our home smells pretty damn good!)
We wouldn't settle for less until we gave you our best products we could create. It took a little over 9 months to finally create our signature collection!
As a couple we are a two person team and everything you see whether its on our website, our candles, through social media, packaging, shipping or responding to emails is done by us. We love to connect with you on this level, we believe this is what a small handmade business should be.
Our Materials
In all our candles we use natural coconut soy wax, FSC certified wood wicks and fragrance oils which are phthalate, paraben & cruelty free.
Our packaging includes 100% recyclable tins and stickers, as well as cards which are made with 100% post-consumer paper. All our shipping boxes are recycle. Our tester mailers are made with 100% reclaimed polyethylene liner which is biodegradable. Additionally, our packing peanuts are entirely plant-based and made of organic starch which decompose in water in minutes!
Once used, candle tins can either be recycled or turned into a holder for things like pencils, flowers, herbs etc! Same goes for our natural linen bags, which can be used to store jewellery, hair accessories or small bits and bobs.
We're constantly learning and striving to improve our green footprint, so if you have any ideas and tips on how to improve, we'd love to know!
